Yesterday at SaMP Kids ~ Compassionate Kids Club we had a small lesson on equality and fairness. The kids were all given a band aid and then they were given an “injury” some had broken arms, some a black eye, some a scratch. We talked about how sometimes treating everyone equally isn’t what is right. Based on our little activity the kids decided that fairness means that everyone gets what they need vs everyone gets the same treatment… I think the bigs got it… some of the littles just thought it was funny we were giving them band-aids. 😉 Such is life in a largely a mixed age group!
The last time we met the kids choose to work with Building Veterans. They wanted to serve a meal and create a “portable” meditation center for the men. They came up with a list of items they wanted to include If you have any of the items you’re willing to donate please contact Chrissi.
