Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Sophie & Madigan's Playground. The Sophie & Madigan's Playground will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Sophie & Madigan's Playground.
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.
The Sophie & Madigan's Playground will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.
The Sophie & Madigan's Playground will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the Sophie & Madigan's Playground.
Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Sophie & Madigan's Playground.
The Sophie & Madigan's Playground will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Sophie & Madigan's Playground.
The Sophie & Madigan's Playground will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Sophie & Madigan's Playground will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.
The Sophie & Madigan's Playground will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Sophie & Madigan's Playground.
MEDIA RELEASE. You hereby grant permission for use of any and all information submitted in your application, and/or your name, photograph, videotape, motion picture recording, voice or likeness for any purpose, including pre-race and post-race publicity.
PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS. If you are under 18 years of age at the time of registration, your parents or legal guardians have fully read, understand, and consent to the terms of this Waiver and Terms and Conditions, and authorize your participation.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY. In consideration of your acceptance of this entry, you hereby for yourself, your heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all right and claims for damages you may have against SAMP and sponsors for any and all injuries suffered by yourself in said event. You further declare that you are medically able, properly trained, physically fit and capable of participating in a marathon, half marathon, 10K, or any combination of race events, and that your medical care provider has approved your participation.
You are aware that by agreeing to this Waiver and Terms and Conditions, you are waiving substantial legal rights, and knowing this, you agree of your own free will and intend your check of the "Waiver Agreement" box to be a complete and unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
