SaMP Kids ~ Bake Sale for St Jude

The kids are super excited to set up the Bake Sale for St Jude this Friday, 2/3, from 3:30-6:30 in front of The Bicycle Escape!

At this months first meeting the SaMP Kids voted on different service based projects to show the community compassion and kindness. Their final vote for the January/February project was to hold a bake sale to benefit kids with cancer. The second week the kids met they worked on creating posters and flyers to help get the word out for the bake sale. The third week of the project the kids met at Clustered Spires Bakery where the kids split up into teams and all worked on a different type of cookie. Friday we will meet up again for the Bake Sale for St Jude. (Bicycle Escape is over near Wegmans… but on the Chipotle side)

Please share with friends and family and stop by to get some cookies made with lots of LOVE! The kids are excited to be able to collect donations for St Jude. Then on February 16th tune into 99.9 as the kids present their donation directly to St Jude at the WFRE Radiothon.

SaMP Kids is a weekly service based group with the goal of teaching kids that their acts of compassion both big and small can make a big difference in their community. The kids choose the project for the month and work together on each step to figure out how to make the project successful.

We would love to see a few more older teens and tweens to help us keep the smaller kiddos excited and on track. All are welcome even if you didn’t start this months project we have a place for you! We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming number of kids who come out to help and look forward to our group continuing to grow.
